About Us

We started Unhinged Candles because our group chats looked
nothing like the candle industry. They're full of memes, cute animal videos, screenshots that begin with, "This made me think of you," and
the occasional, "I know we said we don't need another puppy... but look at this little guy." We believe laughter is one of the easiest ways to tell someone, "I know you." Sometimes that's with a candle that perfectly captures your friend's vibe.

We don't make candles because the world needs more candles. We
make inside jokes you can light on fire. We make candles for the people who share the inappropriate memes, laugh a little too hard at jokes they probably shouldn't and immediately know who to send a picture to when they see one of our labels. Whether you're sweet, slightly feral, or somehow both before noon, there's a good chance you'll find a candle that feels like it was made specifically for someone in your contacts.

Every Unhinged Candle is hand-poured by our small team in the USA using premium soy wax because we believe the joke should last longer than the punchline. We obsess over every label, and laugh at every new idea before it ever reaches your doorstep. Our favorite compliment isn't, "That smells amazing." It's, "I had to buy this because it reminded me of someone."
